CHIEF KESSLER COLE

Welcome to the City
Of Weirton Fire Department web site. It is our privilege to
have you visit our site. The City Of Weirton Fire Department
currently has approximately 60 active fire fighters of which,
20 are WV Basic EMT's and two are WV Paramedics.
The City Of Weirton Fire Department operates out of four fire stations in the
City of Weirton. We provide Fire, Rescue and EMS services to the residents of
Weirton and Mutual Aid to various surrounding communities. Our stations house
three pumpers, two aerial apparatus, two squad trucks, a rescue boat and Jet
Ski. In addition, we offer a variety of fire safety programs for children and
elderly residents of Weirton. We recently placed into service a new 2004 Sutphen
100’ Aerial Platform. The purchase of this apparatus was made possible by the
generous support of a Community Block Development Grant and will serve the
residents of the coverage area for many years to come.
The City Of Weirton Fire Department prides itself on providing the best possible
emergency services to our community and its residents. Our team of dedicated
career/paid and volunteer professionals is constantly striving to provide an
economical, quality and professional service to the communities we serve.
This website was designed for information as well as entertainment. This is one
of the methods we will use to inform our community about the activities of their
fire department. This website will also provide information about our
equipment, facilities, and our membership, which is the key to our success.
If you 're looking for a challenge and would like to contribute in any way to
your fire department as a member, please drop us an e-mail or stop in at the
station anytime Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM for an application for
membership. We offer the opportunity to become part of an elite group in your
community and personally grow and develop through regular training and activity.
Thank you for your interest in the City Of Weirton Fire Department.
